YESEO is a free Slack app made by 2022 RJI fellow Ryan Restivo. It exists to help newsrooms with SEO best practices and give teams a way to get to their best story ideas faster.

Capture local trends on your stories

The YESEO app helps newsrooms with SEO best practices, and for election season will also provide ways to interact with real-time trends and develop story ideas. Users who sign up through the Knight Election Hub will get two additional features to help them plan their elections coverage:

• Enter any keyword and get back useful data to plan a story, including trends as well as search page data.
• Quickly call up real-time trends across the United States, and then check the keyword groups that matter to you and localize national trends to your coverage area.

YESEO is free to download. Users in the Knight Election Hub can register for these features by clicking in the app (it will say Knight Election Hub!) and providing an email address. Once processed, your app homepage will change and offer two additional buttons for these features.

App creator Ryan Restivo would be happy to train your newsroom on how to use YESEO and all of the tools it offers to enhance your election coverage.
