About our organization: Public Data Works (PDW) is working together with award-winning journalist Martina Guzmán to build VERDAD. PDW is a design and engineering studio led by Rajiv Sinclair and Sukari Stone. We work with mission-aligned organizations to add technical and design capacity where it matters most, architecting and implementing end-to-end solutions for complex problems. The codebase for VERDAD is open-source on GitHub to support transparency and auditability.

How we can help you: VERDAD listens to thousands of hours of radio each day and flags moments that may be considered mis/disinformation. It transcribes and translates the audio so you can use VERDAD.app to review trends of suspected misinformation, help categorize them by adding your own labels, and add comments. Your feedback will be used to improve the detection process going forward. Invite collaborators and @mention each other to work on stories together.
