How we can help you: Votebeat’s Expert Desk brings together volunteer election experts — former officials, tech experts, election law scholars — into a private Slack channel starting October 14. Participating reporters and editors will be added to the Slack channel, where these experts will be on hand to answer quick-turnaround questions amid the fast-moving election environment. The channel will remain available through mid-December for additional support as your election coverage continues.

Votebeat editorial director Jessica Huseman moderates the channel and also serves as an expert on the desk, connecting participating newsrooms with relevant experts and resources, and guiding newsrooms on thorny communications issues related to the election process.
