About our organization:

We provide clear, insightful, and well-sourced nonpartisan information on candidate positions to engage potential voters, so they can know what’s at stake in each election.

How we can help you cover the 2024 elections:

guides.vote creates nonpartisan voter guides in English and Spanish for 70 key elections nationwide, from the presidential race on down. Created by veteran journalists, these meticulously researched guides draw on multiple sources, not just candidate websites or surveys that candidates less and less frequently fill out.

Our guides link to credible sources, allowing readers to be confident they are making voting decisions based on clear understanding about where the candidates stand. We help potential voters overcome political cynicism, information overload, and misinformation by making clear the differences between candidates and the stakes of showing up. The average guide involves roughly 50 hours of research, writing, editing, and vetting by multiple researchers and editors (300 for our Presidential guide). Each guide is then vetted for accuracy and nonpartisanship by a top nonprofit lawyer. See more on how we create our guides

Partners distributing our guides include: Civics Center, the NAACP, Mi Familia Vota, Nonprofit Vote, US Vote Foundation, Vote.org, Youth Service America, Patagonia, Salesforce, and media outlets like States Newsroom, Teen Vogue, the Fulcrum, and local newspapers. See our Partners Summary for more information. We'd love to see your outlet reprint or link to our guides, or otherwise draw on them in your election coverage.

We provide the guides free of charge, and ask only that you let us know and credit and link to us if you use them. And that if you do reprint them, you do so in a nonpartisan way, not in a context expressing support or opposition for any candidate or party.
