Pursuant to the Rhode Island Access to Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:
A list of all complaints filed against teachers or the school department for calendar year 2019 until the processing of this request.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 business days, as the statute requires.

Second, I am looking for complaints regardless of the source.
Third, there is no specific nature of the complaint. I am just trying to get a grasp for how many complaints there were.
Fourth, the complaint can pertain to anything.
I am not looking for the complaints themselves; I am just trying to gauge the number of complaints for this year.

I found the response. It was sent on February 13, 2020. The number of
complaints listed is the same as the one I sent you today but our attorney
had added a Statute as well.
