Records pertaining procedures for water main replacement under the Providence Water “Water Main Rehabilitation Program” including, but not limited to:
- The procedure used to determine the order in which public side water mains will be replaced under the program. Please include any criteria or evaluative materials used to prioritize the order of replacement
- The schedule for water main replacement for the next 5 years. If no such record is available, please provide materials detailing existing schedule or anticipated replacements.

Records pertaining procedures for water main replacement under the Providence Water “Water Main Rehabilitation Program” including, but not limited to:

- The procedure used to determine the order in which public side water mains will be replaced under the program. Please include any criteria or evaluative materials used to prioritize the order of replacement

See attached summary of the guidelines used to select the water main replacements. The selection is primarily driven by water quality complaints, lead test results and the paving moratoriums in each city or town. Attached is a copy of the map used to select the most recent set of main replacement projects.

- The schedule for water main replacement for the next 5 years. If no such record is available, please provide materials detailing existing schedule or anticipated replacements.

See attached table for a list of streets to by rehabilitated in 2019 and 2020. No further schedule is available at this time.

- The procedure and guiding materials for testing water lead levels after water main replacement.

Lead Levels are not tested after a water main replacement. Lead levels are only tested after the services themselves are replaced.

- The procedure, guiding materials, and any other evaluative materials used to measure the effectiveness of the program.

There are no materials used to measure the effectiveness of the program. All water main replacement projects have full time inspection to ensure that the work is done correctly and to specification. In the distribution system there are over 500 miles of water main that are in need of rehabilitation and the program will continue until all of the water main has been rehabilitated.
