If previously released records are available, then we request a rolling release consisting of those records while additional records are located and processed for release.

Should the Agency decide that a fee waiver does not apply, Original Media Group agrees to pay up to $100.00 for the processing of this request. Kindly inform me if the estimated fees will exceed this limit before processing Original Media Group’s request.

This letter shall serve as an official notice that Original Media Group Corporation et al (“Original Media”) hereby requests an appeal in the above-mentioned public information request. As required under the Pennsylvania Right-to-Know Law (“RTKL”), 65 P.S. §§ 67.101, et seq. Attached please find a true and correct copy of the initial request sent to Philadelphia Mayor's Office (“Agency”).
The Agency, at their peril, are in violation of 65 P.S. § 67.101 §§ 901 (“The time for response shall not exceed five business days from the date the written request is received by the open-records officer for an agency.”). Therefore, Original Media appeals the denial by default, and asks the Pennsylvania Office of Open Records review the request. Pursuant to Pennsylvania law, Original Media shall submit a legal argument on the above-mentioned matter within seven business days.
Original Media is a representative of the news media and is primarily engaged in the dissemination of information to the public. As a member of the news media, Original Media et al has a compelling need and right to obtain the requested records as the subject matter of our request relates to the public’s need to understand and assess for itself the records.

If you seek a police incident report, you can obtain the proper form from the Department of Records. Please note that police incident reports cost $25. If you seek audio, visual, or bodycam records from the Philadelphia Police Department, you will need to make a request following the instructions in 42 Pa.C.S.A. Sec. 67A03 at https://www.legis.state.pa.us/cfdocs/legis/LI/consCheck.cfm?txtType=HTM&ttl=42&div=0&chpt=67A. Such requests are not processed under the Right-to-Know Law.
