From: Samuel Sinyangwe

Hi, thanks for sending the information on use of force and civilian complaints. However, my request specified that I’m looking for the number of *civilian* complaints that were sustained each year since 2016. The document you provided combines the number of sustained internal and civilian complaints into one number but doesn’t specify how many of those sustained complaints were from civilian complaints. Can you please provide me with the requested information.

Thank you!

From: Anne Arundel County Police Department

The following is a breakdown of SUSTAINED citizen complaints for the years
requested.

2016 - 5
2017 - 7
2018 - 7
2019 - 8

Sincerely,
Christine Ryder
