Dear Mr. Carter:
Thank you for submitting your Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to
the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) via the
*FOIAOnline* website.
We received your request on October 29, 2019. Your request concerns
General Services Administration (GSA) architectural drawings (NAID 76064741
).
This office handles FOIA and Privacy Act requests for the National Archives
and Records Administration's *operational *records (records created by this
agency). Because your *FOIAOnline *request is for records that may be
*archival *records (records created by or originated in a different agency,
but that may have been transferred to the legal custody of NARA), we have
forwarded it to our *Office of Research Services, Special Access and
FOIA* staff
who handle FOIA requests for archival records.
Since the *Office of Research Services *does not process FOIA requests
through *FOIAOnline*, your request has been removed from the
*FOIAOnline* website
and you will be assigned a new tracking number by Research Services within
the next 20 business days. In the future, if you need to follow up with
that office directly, please contact them at the address below, or
electronically via email.

Dear Mr. Carter:
This is in response to your October 29, 2019, Freedom of Information Act
request (20-04995) about General Services Administration (GSA)
architectural drawings (NAID 76064741). We received your request on October
29, 2019.
Your request is not specific enough for us to locate records for you. The
series you cite is quite large consisting of 469 linear feet, 7 linear
inches. You will need to narrow down your request. Also note, these
records are located in off-site and must be screened for (b)(7)(e)
restrictions before they can be served to researchers. We have a finding
aid which is available in our research room, which is available for you or
your associates to come and view. Should you be unable to come and view
the finding aid, you can find independent researchers for hire here:
https://www.archives.gov/research/hire-help.
If you are not satisfied with our action on this request, you have the
right to file an administrative appeal in writing via regular U.S. mail or
email. Your appeal should be received within ninety (90) calendar days from
the date of this letter and it should explain why you believe this response
does not meet the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act. Please
address it to the Deputy Archivist of the United States (ND), National
Archives and Records Administration, 8601 Adelphi Road, College Park,
Maryland 20740. Both the letter and the envelope should be clearly marked
“Freedom of Information Act Appeal.” You may also submit your appeal to
FOIA@nara.gov also addressed to the Deputy Archivist. All correspondence
should reference your internal case tracking number FOIA 19-49029.
In addition to your right to file an administrative appeal with the Deputy
Archivist, you may seek assistance from our FOIA Public Liaison (FPL),
Britney Crawford. Contact information for the FOIA Public Liaison at the
National Archives, Washington DC area is as follows:

College Park, MD 20740-6001

Hi Ketina,
Thanks for this information. I'm going to be at NARA II in College Park tomorrow - is that the location with finding aids for this batch of records?
Best,
Elliot Carter
